Samko Bernat is a filmmaker who writes, directs, and produces. His work is drawn to real people and to the stories that usually go unseen. He tells them with precision and restraint, trusting observation over spectacle.

He works end to end, from the first idea through post, with lean international crews and a disciplined hand. His feature documentary Unscripted - In the Heart of Africa (2024) reached audiences worldwide on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and further platforms, and his second feature documentary, Beyond Maps, is currently in post-production.
